The Head Start and Early Head Start programs are early learning programs serving income-eligible children and families in Itawamba, Lee, Leflore, Pontotoc, Sunflower, Union and Warren counties.

Programming promotes school readiness by enhancing the social and cognitive development of children through quality educational, health, nutritional, and other social services to enrolled children and families.

Head Start engages parents in their children’s learning and supports parents in making progress toward their educational, literacy, and employment goals.
